Mandy and Carrie, two goof-balls on purple balls at Just Breathe

You can eat the good stuff this holiday season, and we’ll show you how at our December 14th Chubby Mommy Running Club social in Eugene, OR. And, we’ll share the actual food, not just the recipes. Yum. Also, there will be music, and beautiful dancing. Doing backbends over exercise balls is optional.

This month Mandy Baucum, the owner of Just Breathe Movement/Fitness Studio and Carrie Janes, a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner at Village Health are co-hosting our social. Here are the details:  December 14th, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Just Breathe, 2868 Willamette St. (upstairs) Free!

The Just Breathe Studio is a beautiful place, and Mandy and her teachers are building a wonderful community of women through their classes including Nia, Yoga, Tai chi, Pilates, Therapeutic Exercise and kids dance classes. Mandy will give us a demonstration of Nia, an aerobic non-impact workout that combines dance, martial arts and healing arts to music. Wear comfortable clothes!

Carrie, a nutritionist, will talk about the importance of eating “good” fat in a healthy diet, and will share a few jolly holiday treats made from her own recipes. Yum! Village Health is a fully integrative health and wellness facility, bringing Western [allopathic] medical practices and Eastern [Complimentary and Alternative] practices all under one roof.

We’ll have guest speakers and food and drink provided by interesting sponsors, who will give a 15 minute talk after the networking.
